たった数年で全国の、いわば先進地方都市に変えた、これが佐藤啓さんなんです。
霞ケ関も注目した、私も当時総理大臣として、彼に注目をしたんです。

そして、官邸において進めていく、地方創生を担当する補佐官の秘書官として、一緒に官邸で仕事をしてくれた。
そしてその力を活かす、6年前に皆さんのお力でこの奈良県から立派に国政に送っていただいた。
そしてそのなかで、彼の実績が認められて経済産業大臣政務官になり、
そして今、佐藤さんが述べたように、あのコロナ禍、地域の皆さんが、
『大変だ、緊急事態宣言の対象あるいはまん防の対象じゃなくても、店の売り上げが落ちてやっていけるかどうかわからない』
そういう声を耳にして、対象を広げていく、そういう判断をした。
